ya you can do it but it will put a 1 ohm load on the amp. what kind of setup do you have? also if you wire the sub in series (8ohm load) it will only put a 4 ohm load on the amp.

Depends on your amp. My Soundstream Reference 300 I had could handle a ½ ohm load bridged.

all you need to do is verify that the amp will handle a 2ohm load when bridged...

Most two channel amps when bridged are only stable to 4 ohms, some higher end amps are stable to 2 and one ohms.

What amp do you have?

The safest way to wire this up is by wiring it in series to show an 8 ohm load. Like this.

You will get half the power available, but you won't fry your amp.

One alternative in your situation is to buy another sub. Then you can run them in series like this.

You will be running at a safe 4 ohm load and getting the same power to both subs as you would for one @ 8 ohms.

If you don't want to buy another sub I would use a ported enclosure for more output and run it at 8 ohms.

Thanks for the replies guys. My amp can run at 2ohms, but not bridged. I didn't wanna run them in series, so I just wired each voice coil to a channel.
