4th Generation Camry V6 XLE wire harness help!

I was installing an aftermarket deck and I went to futureshop and got a harness that says it fits Toyota Camry 83-up but then when I check with the OEM plug is completely different. Does anyone know what should I do? Thanks!

so this connector will just plug into the plug directly, and no need to bypass the premium stereo system? Premium sound sys. meaning the rear seat 2 bass? If we bypass that wire that means the 2 rear bass will not work and the car will have no bass? But how come it says this harness DOESN'T work with premium sound system?

I think all the new harness's automatically bypass the factory amp used in the premium sound system. That is why it probably doesnt work with it.

This is because the receiver itself has its OWN amp internally.

That wiring harness should work...

So you mean the harness xet show me should work then? So bypass factory amp and receiver has it own amp internally meaning the 2 amps will still function?

2 amps?

Ok... I think your a little confused. Let me explain

The wiring harness is designed to bypass (get rid of) the amp that is already in your car. So basically assume that amp is not there anymore.

The wiring you have looks to be the exact same as the one xet using anyways. All of the wiring harnesses say they are designed for 83+ toyota's.

You would need to solder that wiring harness to your aftermarket headunits wiring. Then there are two plug-ins toward the back of the spot where your stock radio is, that should fit directly with the wiring harness you bought.

I honestly dont get what you mean by the oem plug. You shouldnt need that anymore if you are installing a new headunit.

The amp inside your car will now be un-used, and your amp built internally into the receiver will be your new power source. Understand...

If you need more help talk to me directly in a PM. I have an XLE just like you so I can help you out.

Yea basically your factory amp is bypassed, but the plugs i showed you, im not sure if yours are exactly the same or not, but it still has the 2 front and 2 front speaker inputs. You just crimp or solder those to the new harness and plug the harness into the back. Your new deck has it's own little amp on there, depends on how great of a hu you get, but my sound quality was much better with just the new deck than the old setup. My front and rears still work, i just need to replace them because my deck sends out 4 ohms and my speakers require much less.

So what do mean by solder to the new harness and plug it into the back? By the way, for reference, this is what I got:
Pioneer DEHP3700MP

http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pro...0079532&catid=

So the harness you showed me from ebay, the plug will fit the permium sound system (15 pin) plug? So how will the harness look like?

I have te exact same system that you have, and the walmart harness worked fine.
Heres how it works you have the harness that you buy from the store. It plugs into the actual car. then you have the harness that comes with the radio.
so before you attach them to their respective owners you actual attach the 2 harneessess toghether, with butt connectors or soldering. They are both labeled with what they do so all you do is line em up and attach em. For example you find both the Left Rear speakers and then attach em. Then plug one into the car and the other side into the radio and your all done. easy as pie
