Bridging outputs

Can you bridge the left & right outputs, or the front & rear outputs on a headunit?

Probably not advised... because thats not the way its designed but I suppose if you knew specifics on the ohms, and workings of the headunit itself it may be possible. But then again, a headunit was never designed to have adaptable channels so in my knowledge I would have to say no.

Why would you wanna bridge the channels anyway?

Most benefical thing you can do is get an amp and not even use the headunit's power

The only headunit you could have done it to was an older Pioneer unit. They allowed you to bridge the rears for a 4 ohm load.

Any other headunit and you will fry it.

Pick up a small A/D/S off ebay for cheap. You can mount them anywhere they are so cheap.
