Wiring Harness help!

Hey, I got a new deck and I need help with it. I already did the speaker wires and the igntion/acc perfectly fine. However I have a few things I'm not sure about.

There are 2 yellow wires from the deck and only 1 yellow wire from the wiring harness. Do I just connect both from the deck to the 1 from the harness, like in parallel or whatever?

The black ground wire from the harness... do I connect that to just about any part of my amp? (I remember doing that with the old deck)

There are 2 orange wires from the harness (illumination and dimmer) and only 1 orange wire from the deck (illumination) do I connect these in parallel or just connect the 2 illumination wires?

Also, you see many of the wires from the deck have a different kind of connector... should I just cut those off?

connect the ground wire from the harness to the ground wire on your head unit. you dont even have to hook up the orange wires if you dont want to. what kind of deck do you have? does it have a wire color code on it?

It's a Clarion deck. The ground wire from the deck has a little clamp thingie so yuo can put it under a screw to connect to the chassis... And the instructions say to do that too...

Basically my main concern is the two yellow wires from the deck. My guess is that I have to connect both the yellow wire on the harness.

The descriptions of the wires coming from the right are:
Thicker yellow wire (15A fuse): Memory back-up lead - connect directly to battery.

Thin Yellow wire (3A fuse): Bus Power Lead - connect directly to battery.

Blue/White wire: amp turn on lead (i know what to do with this)

Blue wire: auto antenna lead (um i also know what to do with this, i guess i shuold cut that weird connector off?)

Black wire (ground lead): connect to vehicle chassis ground.

And from the harness packing it says (the wires coming from the left):

Yellow: 12V Battery/Memory
Blue: Power Antenna
Blue/White: Amp turn on
Orange: illumination
orange/white: dimmer
brown: phone mute (but there is no brown wire, thats ok)

twist the 2 yellow wires together than connect those to the one from the harness. do the same with the orange. you can make a new ground for the black wire but connecting it to the harness and using the factory ground should be fine.

Um. Ok, I did all that. Works great, but now my guages don't light up! Which fuse is that?? I think that perhaps my deck doesn't have a dimmer, but only an illuminator (whats the difference?).

Also, this stupid deck has the antenna up all the time I think I'll just disconnect the antenna power wire for now. My bro just bent it by hitting it on a tree so I gotta replace it again. Maybe I'll just do the s2000 antenna conversion?

EDIT: foudn and replaced the fuse.. not sure which wire to connect to the illum/dim. Aparently using both the + and - dim/illum wires will blow the fuse... the - will light the decks buttons even if the stereo and/or car are off, as long as parking lights are on. the + doesn't seem to do anything and the dimmer knob from the car doesnt make the deck any brigther or dimmer with either the + or -... So I guess I can just isolate them.

i have a similar deck. i didn't use the dimmer wire or the phone mute lead. my antenna only comes up when the radio is on. goes down when i use the CD or CD changer. it's been awhile since i've done it but i can easily pull it out to check if you need more help.

Well, it works fine as it is now and I don't think I'm gonna be changing it. I'll probably do the s2000 antenna conversion cause I don't wanna have to replace the antenna anymore. There's aparently a dimmer control on the deck, but it doesn't do anything for me, perhaps because I don't have the illumination or dimmer wires connected, but I don't really care how bright the deck is since I don't watch it while driving.

I LOVE this deck though. It's great, a switch for just sub volume control. A built in low pass filter which is great so my normal speakers dont have any bass so they dont distort as much. There's still a bunch of functions I need to learn to use. Right now the bass doesn't sound quite as good as it did on my old deck, but I'll tweak it and try to make it better.

according to crutchfield, which is correct, im supposed to connect the dimmer negative wire from the harness to the illumination wire on the deck, i did that, works fine

now, however, my battery is being drained too much (90% sure its not cause of connecting the dimmer wire) but because my amp draws too much power (stock alt makes 80 amps, car + deck prob uses about 50, leaving 30 for subs... 30*12=360 watts, my amp is 700 watts). Recently my guages and instrument panel have been dimming randomly, well seemingly randomly, it seems whenever I drive for a bit they'll brighten up to normal but then itll go dim again when i come to a stop or use high beams sometimes.
