an ED k for the sub sub

http://www.edesignaudio.com/ep/kseries.htm

a 400.2 for the amp

http://www.edesignaudio.com/ep/amps.htm

then you have plenty of money left over for wires and other stuff you will need.

Those ED amps are dirt cheap. Well the Tsunami ones. Too bad that 900x1@4ohms amp doesnt run at 1 ohm. But 1800x1@2ohms is pretty damn good! Although... it might be nice for a JL W7 because they run at 3 ohms... so I suppose you'd get like 1350x1@3ohms.

If you were to go with a W7, you should get the 13" one. It's really 13.5" and its in the same competition division as 12" subs. Maybe I'll do that towards the end of the summer.

One 12" Kicker L7 in a ported box and a kicker 800.2 and your head won't stop ringing for days.

Yeah but a L7 can take much more than 800 watts RMS. One of the members here competes with 1600 watts RMS running to his.
