6.5" Comp sets under 250

This is a very commonly asked question.

Here's a few current deals that I would probably buy.

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-1G0Upvm...13xxv04s&wm=cl

That set retails for 900 dollars.

http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_id=4985

That set is a must have. I'm probably going to buy a set in the future for sure.

They have them on ebay for cheaper. http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Alpine-SPX-1...QQcmdZViewItem

That set is a complete steal too. I'd buy that set just to have for later when they run out of that price and you can sell it for more after you've used them for a year or two.

This set has a VERY nice tweeter(I bought some) The mids are very nice but they lack the midbass that the Pioneer set has. Still worth the money. Keep an eye out for when the new '07 models come out. They're made by Scan Speak and have the same type of cone the Ultra high end Scan Speak Revelator uses.

some how i doubt they actually sell for $900. their not that nice for 900 and a 800$ price break is pretty much unheard of.

Yeah, I doubt anyone paid 900 bux, but for 200 it's a good choice to consider.

That deal is legit though if you meant that it wasn't.

Found a review on them from one of the members on DIYMA.

So the PRS set would get my first choice.

cam2Xrunner, what is your opinion on JL Audio speakers?

TR and XR series to be specific.

XR series are supposed to be good.

Another one of those budget, good component sets.

Kinda like the Apline Type-X components from what I've heard.

I was definatly thinking about getting that PRS set like my bro, but idk yet. It seems like the best deal for the money atm.

chances are, you won't get a legit set of JL components at this price point.

The PRS set rules for the price point, hands down. If you want a different type of sound, get the QSC216.
