Ninja's Audio Upgrade Is Complete (lots of pics)! (Finally)

It's been a long time coming but my audio upgrade is finally finished. This was my first real system so my goal was SQ. This system sounds awesome!!! Staging is excellent (in front of dash) and vocals (especially females) sound fantastic. Live music is great; it feels like I'm at a live concert. The dual 10" subs hit hard and very clean. Interior is very quiet now with all the sound deadening.

Equipment List:

Alpine IVA-W200 DVD headunit
Alpine H701 processor (awesome!)
DLS Iridium 6.2 components
A pair of 10" Arc 10D4 subs
Alpine MRV-F545 amp
Alpine MRP-F250 amp
Custom A-pillars (Innovative Rides)
Custom amprack/sub box from Mr Marv
Custom baffles from Mr Marv
Scosche dash kit
PAC-TR7 video bypass
Alpine KCE-422i iPod cable
Raamat and ensolite sound deadening (door, rear, and roof)

I want to thank Mr. Marv for all his help and advice. We had some equipment issues but it all worked out. As everyone says, he is a super cool guy. A big thanks to Innovative Rides here in Houston for all their great work. They really took care of me.

Let me know what you guys think. Enough talking....here are the pics:

All of my gear ready to go

Alpine IVA-W200

Custom A pillars by Innovative Rides

Shot of the rear which was done in a nice black carpet. The pics look grey but trust me, the finish is black. You can see the main Alpine amp in this shot. The other amp for the tweeters is behind. It all fit nicely. So far no issues with heat.

A closer shot of one of the Arc subs

30Gig Video Ipod wired directly to the Alpine head unit. Everything is controlled from the HU which works flawlessly and quickly. I love having all my music at the touch of my finger. Initially I had some pretty bad recordings so I re-ripped my entire CD collection using the MP3 LAME encoder with VBR (variable bitrate). It really makes a difference with the high end Iridium drivers.

Screen shot of one of favorite DVDs. You know which one this is. I do have the video bypass enabled but I rarely use it if I am the only one in the truck. Picture quality is excellent.

I also have the H701 digital sound processor which is essentially a must if you want the best control over your audio. I can adjust just about anything I need from the HU. Here is the crossover adjustment screen.

And a shot of the EQ

Finally, here is a shot of the battery terminal caps. The right one is crooked I know. I'll adjust it later. You can see the 30 amp fuse in the rear. Wiring is guage 1/0. I didn't do the Big 3 mod since I am below 1 kW total.

For those that have emailed me about the A-Pillars pods, unfortunately I don't make them (they were done by the shop LanNinja had do the install and rather nicely I might add ). I do however have a friend who is a fabricator and if there is enough interest he would consider doing a mold for some pods you guys could easily attach to your stock pillars (depending on his schedule).

Yo Marv, definitely check on that...Tell them to make them so they'll fit 4.5" revelators and some tweeters!

I would buy some.
