3rd Generation Best 6.5's for $100 or less

I'm sure this topic has been beat to death, but i didnt' find anything in the search. So I'm in need of some new front door speakers for my camry. I'd like to spend $100 tops, I know that's not a whole lot, but what should I look for?

I think I was just on E-bay or something like that and someone (store) had a set of Arc KAR 125 6.5" comps for like ~$80 + Shipping. Might want to check those out

Well, I'm not big into audio, so i don't know what baffeling is. And I defiently will not be amping these speakers, just running whatever my Pioneer Puts out.

i had a pair of diamond CM3's in my old cam.. i found the midbass to be lacking, even when feeding them ~75wmrs. i might be installing on my 05 cam eventually..

Hello from Minneapolis!

Check out Madisound. They have a Vifa coax set for about $70. Hi-Vi coax set for $40. This would be leaps and bounds above anything from a retailer like Best Buy. A baffle basically seperates the front sound wave from the rear and stiffens the mount for increased volume and bass response. Depending on the door construction, it can be as simple as a homemade 12" by 12' square of 3/4" Medium Density Fiberboard with a 5.75" hole for the speaker screwed to the sheet metal.

look at all the minnesotans!
I would recommend signature audio but they closed saturday, but they had some good deals. Kicker? Kenwood? The best bet is to put the best speakers in front for your staging, that's pretty much all i know.

IB stands for infinite baffle.. basically its like using the door, per se, as your "enclosure" for the woofer, as opposed to an actual wooden box.. same thing with a subwoofer. u can mount it on your rear deck and use the trunk as your "enclosure"

heard the polk db675's or whatever are pretty nice coaxials for the money.

Madisound would have some pretty cheap, good quality speakers for you. You could try searching for silver flutes... they seem pretty good to me at $30 bucks a pop too.
