sound deadening guys: any experience with Vanceva sound deadening windshield?

Hi,
I found out that this company is selling some windshield that are supposed to reduce noise inside the vehicle.

http://www.solutiaautomotive.com/en/lgi/noise.aspx

Does anybody have experience with any of those? Is it possible to upgrade my Gen 3.5 Camry to one of those?

it really doesnt seem to be that huge of a difference judging by their clips, I doubt it's worth the cost

I don't know - anybody knows where I could get it upgraded? Is it possible? How much would it be? I tried to search this site but no results for Vanceva...

for those who have sound deadened their whole car, windshield will be most of the noise remaining, so in that case that would help. I didn't sound deaden my car yet but I am planning....

It would be easier and more cost effective to just sell your Camry and buy a Lexus. Adding additional soundproofing materials adds considerable weight and there are issues of fitment.

I would doubt that the windsheild would really help. I would consider reinforcing the seals around the windsheild and then focus on deadening with both mat and padding on the pillars etc.

No, honestly windshields do let quite a bit of noise in the car....its a combination of a very large area of glass that resonates at a certain frequency and a somewhat thin glass that lets lower frequencies through. Try driving behind a truck with noisy tires or a car on a rough road, you will be VERY surprised at HOW MUCH noise comes directly through the windshield.
