pioneer

I was looking at a very modest setup. Unless I hear bad things about pioneer, i'm going with a 500 watt pioneer sub plus a 400 watt amp. I was just wonderin if anyone here can give me their opinion on pioneer products. And there's an auction on ebay for pioneer ts-w254c sub at $25. I've never bought a sub before but that sounds like a pretty damn good deal to me. Thanks

The sub you're looking at is probably 500 watts max, not RMS. Your amp would overpower it for sure if it is 400 watts RMS. If you're not sure what that means, check out www.crutchfield.com and read about amps and subs. It'll tell you a lot about them.

Good luck!

depends 300 watts to two 12 will be louder than 300 to a 10 or a 12, i have around that amount running my JLW3 15" and it is LOUD if that is what you want, it is also clear which is what i wanted too.
