Installing new HU. ACC fuse keeps blowing.

Before I explain , I want to warn you that I am a novice at this and want to apologize if it sounds like a stupid question.

Well , I just bought a Pioneer AVH-P5700DVD and is going into a 2006 Tacoma Dbl Cab. I doubled checked all my connections and everything is correct. The only thing different that I did (which I think is the culprit somewhere) is the SPST toggle switch I put in to bypass the parking brake. The ground on the switch is connected to the chassis with the rest of the ground wires of the HU , the power wire is connected to the parking brake , and the ACC wire is connected to the ACC wire on the HU( This is used to light up the switch ) . Wires used for the switch is 18 gauge rated at 300 volts. As far as the switches rating , I have already threw the box away so I am SOL. Does anyone know what the reason may be for the ACC fuse to blow? Is the Gauge wire I used to big? Is the switch itself causing it?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance !!

Yes I did , but now since you said that I cant remember if I connected the HU and then connected the battery or connected the battery then the HU. I guess I'm gonna have to buy a bunch of fuses tomorrow to go through the process of elimination.
