The passenger door speaker (6") went all wonky in my car today. Does anyone have any suggestions for a nice entry-level set of component speakers? I'll probably put the tweeter in the black piece next to the side mirrors. I currently am running a newer JVC head unit and at some point will prolly get an amp, but will run the components off the head unit for the time being. Also, where could I get the best deal on these components??? Thanks

I am installing mine later this week. A buddy of mine has the MB Quart componet set in his pathfinder and it is amazing. The main thing is that you cannot blow them no matter how many watts of power you give them, the just shut off before they blow. They use a light bulb with quarts to divert the exces power. You can look up the frequency responce to see how they compare to others. but for the price you cant beat them. MB Quarts makes 4 differnt qualities of components, if you are interested in spending mega money. The highest, Q-line will run you $400+ for a set. for more info check the web site www.mbquart.com/en/
I'll probably wait until this summer when I have the time (and money) to invest. I'll keep both brands on my mind when I go looking. I've seen where some people mount the crossovers in the doors, while some do not recommend it (just saw a post where cam2xrunner did not either) and was wondering what other options I had. I'm guessing in the trunk. It looks like If i'm going through all the trouble of buying components, I would just go ahead and get an amp and go from there. Thanks for all the help so far guys

Yeah, NEVER put them in the door. Most people make the mistake of doing this. It even seems harder to mount them and wire them in the door. I don't get why people think this is the correct way of doing it. You have both moisture and vibrations, two things you really don't want your crossovers exposed to.
I see, sorry, where would you recomend placing crossovers?
On your sub box possibly... or maybe amke a little slab of wood in the back for them. More then likely you wont want them on the doors. Its just a huge pain in the ass.
