Link isn't working for me.

I dunno what it is but I'm sure a good head unit and good interior speakers would be a better bet.

I would recommend doing as much "processing" as you can with your current HU to squeeze the most out of it before you buy an external processor. After that, I'd reccomend tweaking your install (and re-tweaking the HU's processor) before adding external processing. As they say - its all in the install.

It just depends on your level of tuning expertise and several other factors. Think of it this way, if you just toss all your gear in and turn it on and then say "hmm...I need some processing", and add the external processor, its like a band-aid on a broken leg.

However, if you've alreayd milked all the tuning you can from your current equipment, and still desire more improvement, then you would start thinking about adding extra equipment.

I'm not sure of your experience and/or current install or how it sounds, but if you haven't already, I'd reccomend putting some sound deadener in, experimenting with different mounting ideas/location, tweaking your HU's processing, etc... Once you feel you've obtained optimum sound from doing the "basic" stuff furst, and its still not good enough, then I might reccommend looking into processors.

It's a good processor, at first I was thinking it was going to be crap, but then I saw XETEC. I had one of their amps, it was decent. I do believe they just recently went out of business though.

The thing is, a Pioneer DEH-P880PRS will be a better investment than adding more equipment to the system which could introduce noise.

I would consider this unit if you had a really nice high end transport(CD player) that was basically just a clean source signal to which the processor could...process the sound. Something like a Denon, Nakamichi, Clarion DRX9255, etc, that are basically just good clean source units.

In your case you will get a better overall sound improvement by getting the 880prs, 860MP or just a bhetter set of speakers...I used the Perfects back in my high school days, they are far from perfect" but they aren't bad...

What do you feel is lacking in your current system? That's the important question. Adding a processor might just make things sound worse if you can't implement it correctly....

Welcome to TN!

Cam2xRunner, you got a good point...wht is lacking in my system?
at the moment I feel it is missing sth...first of all lack of mid bass....maybe sth
to do with the speaker setup...second might be the image produced from the speakers
I had ref b4 I think its quite good just not as clean as Peferct or maybe a silk dome tweeter will do a better job.

I wouldn't be spending money on processors.

If anything, upgrade your headunit to the 880PRS, it has more processing power than those Alpine units you posted in the other thread.

Have you deadened your doors yet? Are your speakers mounted to the door using an MDF wood baffle? If not, those two things are a must, do those and you'll probably get the midbass you are looking for.

I have deadened my doors, yea i agree with you...since the source is not powerful enough..
the main reason why I want to keep my jvc because it is touch screen...its like tradeoff between bling bling and sound quality, my current model:
http://www.jvc-newzealand.com/JVCNZ/...=16&prodID=111

this unit is worth adding a processor with this unit?!

seems the pioneer you mentioned has really good function but personality I prefer Clarion DXZ-956MC or Alpine 9855, just because it is either similar to my current unit ..
which one will you recommend?!
