Need help for Alpine PXA-H510 n PXA-H600 sound processor
Hi guys,
I am sort of deciding to buy either H510 or H600, I would like to ask a few questions if anyone can answer it..cheers
For PXA-H510
1. The DTS, or Dolby thingy...do I need specific output to get that effect or they can convert my normal headunit into Dolby surround sound??
2. The special effect...Hall, Stadium, do they do any good???
i think the above are the diffs between H510 and H600 (have i miss any?), but H600 has a auto alignment, can anyone give any recommendation which one I should buy? at the moment they are the same price for a second hand unit...
You're planning on using your JVC headunit with these?
Honestly, the DEH-P880PRS headunit that I recommended in your other thread has way more processing power than either of these headunit. Also adding processors to your headunit will probably just add noise, not to mentioned that the signal is going to be converted from Analog to digital more than one time. Trust me on the DEH-P880PRS, it is better than a JVC headunit+alpine processor tenfold.
Cam2xrunner...i was wondering what as far as sound processing goes, would the w200 and the h701 be a good match up? I was thinking about gettingthe w200, or the new kenwood 8019 paired with audio control's DQXS, what would be a better setup? FYI, i'm running boston pro 60's bi amped, and a w7 on a mono block amp(both jbl amp)

I would go with the W200 and H701 setup. You can connect the two via an Optical toslink cable, so there will be no noise introduced between the two units, and the W200 can completely control all functions of the H701.
That combo right there can do 3 way active front plus sub control.
If you aren't doing a 3 way active front plus sub, the DEH-P880PRS plus a flip out Pioneer A/V unit would be a nice setup too, while still being able to do 2 way active front plus sub.
^ i think i'm going to have to really consider the w200 h701 combo. I'veloved the alpine products(except the last genration models with the pulse glide) since i;ve been getting into the audio world. Yea i need the 3 way active setup...thats what i'm running right now. I Was also considering the kenwood ddx7019 with the audio control DQXS. How would that compare to the alpine setup? And just out of curiousity, have you had any experience with the boston pro 60's? How do they compare to the pioneers you had mentioned in other threads i think is this one, PREMIER TS-C720PRS Pioneer

Well to be honest, if you are wiring active(you really are wiring active right?) then I would just go with seperate raw drivers from manufactures like Seas, Peerless, Scan Speak, etc.
The best advice I can give you for info on speaker choices for wiring active...go here www.diymobileaudio.com
Check out the review forums.
My next setup, will most likely be a pair of Seas CA18RNX drivers, with a pair of Seas Neo tweeters.
I'm going to try out the Aluminum ones and the Textile ones.
Yea...i'm running full active..i think. There is no factory crossover used. I haev the bostons wires straight up to my amp, i guess you could say biwire. And i'm using my HU's onboard crossover to do all the tuning. Where can i demo the seas drivers and tweeters? DO you have any at your shop?
