Unhappy Factory radio anti theft

I have a 95 Avalon. The battery died and caused the radio anti theft to activate. I purchased the car used. I tried to reset the code was what the first owner had programed to know use. Now I have HELP on the contraol panel. How can I clear this and start over?

Yes.
Well, you get 10 tries to get the code right. Obviously if you don't know the code, then find some way to contact the previous owner or as Phi mentioned, go to your dealer to get it reset. You may need proof of ownership and what-not, before the dealer will agree to do it- so be prepared.

Thanks. I contacted the first owner. The code he "said" did not work. I guess I go to the dealer and bend over .
