I'm pretty new to getting into the audio world so here goes:
I've had a eD 16kv.2 so i know a little about sound hookups. I'm moving on to components now.
I have a question about the eDi 6000s v2 series. Should I get a Nine.4 or a Nine.2 with it? It says that the Nine.2 is recommended but it is only 2 channel?
Could I use the stock speaker wires that are already in there?
What size wires are typically used with the components? I want to hook this up to my stock "JBL" 6 CD changer headunit.
Are the 6500s much better than the 6000s? I want to spend about $350 or so total.

Better than anything that cost's under 500 bucks. And it's half that price shipped.
You can really trust him on this one...If this guy says something/anyhting about audio..there's not a lot of smoke to it...I would at least consider it.
I bought mine from the same place.

yeah but i'd like an amp to make good sound over my stock "premium JBL". I learned that the HU could power the speakers but this isn't an aftermarket one so it wouldn't be too powerful. But yes, it is true i don't NEED one...
hmmm.....two channels to power each side, i'm trying to think of the wiring setup of how this happens, so there are two crossovers, one for each side which takes the sound output and splits it into two for the tweeter and mid.
Another question! since the stock speakers already have wiring going to them, can i use those and hook up the mids using them?

To hook up components, you have two wires that go to the crossover as input. This is the full range output from whatever amp you end up using.
You then have 4 wires that are outputs from the crossover. Two are for the tweeter and two for the mid. Don't mix these up or you could damage the speakers.
The crossovers are marked to indicate which terminal is for what. You hook up two wires for each driver, two (+ and -) for the mid and two for the tweeter, to the terminals on the crossover. The input will be two wires (+ and -) and you connect those two wires to the part marked as input. So you are looking at connecting six wires to the crossover.
Basically the cross over takes the full range input and splits the signal into two channels. The high signal goes to the tweeter and everything else goes to the mid.
