2nd Generation Amp Shut Off

Hey guys i finally put in the amp i have a Pioneer GM-510T(760Watts) with a pioneer TS-W306C and when I raise the volume or bass high it shuts off and its not even really loud what could be the problem or is this how its suppose to be? my deck bass is all the way down or sometimes 1/4 of the way up and my gain on the amp is @ half(little past normal) im not sure if the amp shuts off ive never checked but the sub stops playing, if i leave it @ the volume where it shuts off its play one or two beats of bass and shuts off again so i low it down.

What is the subs impedance? (ohm rating) Are you sure you aren't running too low of an ohm load? How is the sub wired?

the sub is wired mono since the amp has the feature and its 4ohm 400watt RMS 1000watt peak which is obviously not true buh the amp should be able to push the sub without any problem.
