Seeking help with a new reciever: iPod, XM, bluetooth

Greetings:

My new 07 Corolla comes with standard FM/AM CD changer unit. Not even an aux jack for my iPod! Looks like adding an aux jack won't work either, as there's no external CD changer.

Anyway, I was looking at the Alpine iPod unit:

I really like the idea of putting the iPod in glove box and having total control at dash. Plus, I have no use for CD player, and it does not have one. But, it's $400, and XM and Bluetooth are NOT built into the unit. In California, Bluetooth will become virtually mandatory in July.

Is it just me, or does that seem kinda dumb? With no CD player, there should be plenty of room in the unit for XM and bluetooth circuitry. And why is a unit with no CD player so expensive?

Anyway, looking for iPod, XM, bluetooth all built into one unit, at good price. No CD player necessary. Any recommendations?

It is satelite radio ready, as well hd radio, and ipod ready. The term ready means...its available to use. Just becuase it has the funciton doesn't mean that alpine will provide that service. IN all hoensty, i would sesarch for a different HU. Something a bit cheaper if 400 is your budget. THere are plenty other just as capable units for cheaper...and with the extra money, then you can afford to purchase satelite radio. What your asking for is like saying i like this phone...but how come it doesn't come with the service...you gotta pay to play...as for recomendations.... if 400 is your budget, and you want both satelite radio as well as bluetooth receiver...then you're SOL my friend. The bluetooth unit alone cost a pretty penny. I would look through the alpine product website, and look for something that is within your range that has sirius and xm and bluetooth ready capabilities. AS for the ipod..most of their 2007 line is fullspeed ipod ready. So you can connect your ipod and leave it in the glove while still controlling from the HU itself as the same speed as the ipod.
