Audio Question

Ok so I have two Alpine Type R 6.5's components in the front, two Alpine Type R 6x9's in the rear. As far as subs I have an Alpine v12 amp pusing 1000 watts RMS. The problem is I have the old Alpine Type R 12 inch subs at only 300 RMS each. Should I get an old Type R 15 inch at 500 RMS too? Or just get another old 12 inch at 300 RMS, which means my amp wouldn't be used to it's full potential? Also I want to get a smaller amp to push my regular speakers. What Alpine amp should I get for them? Alo what is the best tweeters to get? Thanks.

You didn't specify the power ratings on your speakers. Try to look for a 4-channel amp to power them.

As for the subwoofer situation, I suggest you get another one similar to what you have right now. It's okay to overpower subwoofers. The ratings of most manufacturers are conservative anyways.

tune the gain right and you can run whatever you want. but dont mix subs. if you want 2, then get 2 of the same sub.

different size subs will make your system sound like crap, stick to one size and however many subs you want of those

I'd get the same small one. As long as you set your gains low you'll be fine. I don't get your statement of why the amp won't be used to its potential... It will still use the same amount of power regardless of whether the sub is rated for more power.

Anyways... You kinda have to be more specific with a price range... or what kinda power you want for your speakers...

Also there is no best tweeter... A specific tweeter will fit the bill better then another in any given situation. Kinda depends on what else you have is what I'm trying to say. Also didnt you just say you have components anyway... why would you wanna know the best tweet?

And if you really wanna go there with good tweets... be ready to spend about $300 a piece or so..
