I don't even know if there is such a thing but I was wondering where to go to find a stero system for my 05 Matrix XR that includes the regular radio as well as Sirius radio. Are there such radios? And if so, where can I find them?
I have an old sirius radio, I think the first model of the Starmate and the suction cup to hold it never really worked. I used to prop it in a slot in my old car before getting the Matrix. Since getting the Matrix I wanted to get the Sirius radio installed professionally, however, when I went to try and find the suction cup that will hold the radio in place I can't find one for my particular receiver. I was told at one store where I was looking at the Sirius radios that the one I have isn't even made anymore. So the only way to listen to it is with wires all over the place. I could use velco tape but I don't want to leave a sticky residue on the dash.
Another issue I have is I have an I-pod and the FM receiver I have for it only has a couple frequencies on it. The one with the least reception from a station being the one that my Sirius radio was programmed on. So if I am trying to listen to my I-pod, if I come near another car with satelite radio, it cancels out my I-pod and picks up their signal until I get far enough away from the vehicle. It's VERY irritating! I also have a CD player in my stereo I would like to keep as well.
So aside from getting a new sattelite radio what can I do? I wouldn't even mind getting a new Sirius radio as the one I have is outdated, but I hate the thought of having to pay for a new radio. Too bad Sirius doesn't have a trade back program.
Are there any radios out there that will "do it all" so to speak? That have the regular radio, sattelite radio, cd player and I-pod compatibility?

Sirius and XM are merging, not going out of business. I think that's why they suspended O&A - they wanted to please those guys in DC so they'd allow their merger. Rumor has it that O&A might get fired though.
Most units will not have the XM and Ipod features built in. Instead, you'll need to buy auxiliary control units to have those features. Pioneer units have IP-Bus and you'll need to buy a $100 tuner for XM functionality and then a $30 cable or $50 control unit to hook up the Ipod.
If the XM and Sirius merger is approved, subscribers can continue to use their receivers, but need to get a separate receiver to receive broadcasts from the other service. Some new receivers that support both services may also appear.
