Remote Starter Advice needed

I just purchased a 2007 Solara convertible and want to have a remote starter installed. I see Best Buy sells this one for $229 installed:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1076628571235

Would anyone recommend this unit or recommend Best Buy to do the installation? Would there be hidden costs and does anyone think I should go elsewhere or for a different product? thanks for any advice...

DEI in general makes good units. As for best buy, it's tough to say. The install is only as good as the installer. In general, it's pretty hard to mess up a basic remote start install.

This one sells for $229 "installed". What kind of added costs can I expect from them?

Security bypass for the chipped key. It will be a good deal more than $229, definitely over $300 if not closer to $400.

not for a chipped key, the transponder bybass part is only $30, the extra work takes 15 minutes, so it shouldn't be more than $100 at the most, and even that is a ripoff for that.
