yeah the battery will help so much more, i got the Rockford battery it is basically the same as the optima but it says rockford on it

but infact, it ends up drawing more current cause it needs to charge all the time. Get the Optima and if u really want wire some 0 gauge from the alternator and one to the ground.

caps are for music quality so there's no lag on hard bass.....won't do a thing for dimming.....only thing is a better battery and a better alternator

Well it did reduce it at least on my car.

Maybe your cap is just too small for your setup.

I would never ever buy a cap... spend that money and upgrade your alt and your battery... my amp draws 2500 watts rms and my volt meter goes to 10 when the bass hits.......
I have a cap... I say its useless...
Spne dhte money and get a deep cycle battery and a high output alt...
just my advice if you are serious about your car audio setup...
