The fuse just blew in my Amp.... Why?

I have a 150W Kenwood amp hooked up to 1 JL 10W0. I did the install my-self, with really no prior experience, but Im smart and good with my hands It really was rather simple. Anyway it has been running fine for at least 6 months or more, and I noticed today that my sub wasn't working, I opened the trunk, and the amp wasn't getting any power. I started looking around and found that the fuse on the amp had blown. As I understand it fuses don't just burn out for no reason right? Unfortunately it was 10:30 at night and Wal-Mart was out of 25W fuses unless I wanted to spend $10 on a HUGE pack, so I will have to wait till tomorrow to try a new fuse. My question is what do you think would cause a fuse to blow that has been working fine for months? Do you think my amp is shot? If it means anything the in-line fuse on the AMP power cable is fine. Any thoughts?

Is the fuse that did not blow larger in amps then the one that did? Any other circuits that are running off the 25-amp fuse that blew? Try running power through the amps fuse bypassing the 25-amp circuit (be sure to have the fuse in the circuit in case the amp is bad).

If the amp is the only item on the blown fuse circuit, start checking for shorted wiring, also check the ground wires.

I think there is a misunderstanding here, the fuse that blew IS the amps fuse (built into the amp). The fuse that didn't blow is the inline fuse on the power cable running from the battery to the amp, I just mentioned it incase it helped any. It happens to be a higher watt then the amp fuse. Im gonna replace the amp fuse tomorrow and see what happens, I was just trying to get an idea of what I might be dealing with.
