Gen6 Keyless Entry Programming Instructions for 2007 Camry

Does anyone know how to program a keyless remote for the 2007 Camry? I'm interested in purchasing a spare key, but not if I have to pay to program it too.

the wireless door lock control must be programmed through the techstream scantool. Also your key is probably an immobiliser so its frequency will also have to be programmed. All these things are done with the toyota techstream scantool.

Programming Instruction for Camry 2007

These are some programming instructions I've found although I have not yet to test them on my vehicle.

1) Make sure that the key is not in the ignition, the doors are unlocked, and the driver's door is open.

2) WITHIN 5 SECONDS, without turning, insert and remove key from the ignition twice. (leave key out)

3) WITHIN 40 SECONDS, Close and open the driver door twice. (leave door in open position)

4) Again, insert key into the ignition and remove it. This time only once. (leave key out)

5) WITHIN 40 SECONDS, Close and open the driver door twice, then close the door.

6) Insert key into the ignition and leave it in the LOCK position.

You have now entered programming Mode.

Within 40 seconds.

A. Add mode:
A1) Turn the switch ignition (key) to "ON" for 1 second, then turn back to "LOCK".
AA1) This will retain the original codes; or
AA2) Repeat step A1 once (total 2 times) to program a remote transmitter code while erasing the original Codes; or
AA3) Repeat step A1 twice (total 3 times) to check how many remote transmitters are currently registered.
AA4) Repeat step A1 four times (total 5 times) to erase all registered codes.
A2) Remove the key.
A3) Youíll hear the doors "LOCK" and 1 second later "UNLOCK" (just listen) A4) On your remote, press the lock and unlock buttons simultaneously for 1 to 1Ĺ seconds, then let go.

After this step I found two different directions or versions.
Version 1

Within 3 seconds.
A5) On your remote, press lock button.
sytem should now lock and unlock vehicle once to confirm registration, twice to indicate registration failure.
Within 40 seconds.
A6) Repeat button procedure to program remaining remote transmitters.

Version 2
A5) On your remote, IMMEDIATELY press unlock by itself.
A6) Youíll get one of three responses:
R1) Youíll hear the doors "LOCK", then "UNLOCK" once. The remote is accepted. If you want to program another remote, immediately proceed to step A4 with your second remote, otherwise open the driverís door and the remote is registered.
R2) Youíll hear the doors "LOCK", then "UNLOCK" twice. Either you didnít use the same remote in steps A4 and A5(not likely), or this remote was already registered. The timing was off when you pressed the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously and then UNLOCK by itself. Immediately press the two buttons together and the unlock by itself again. Keep trying until you get the locks to signal once that you have been successful. Then if you have another remote to program, quickly press its' buttons as before, until you hear the locks signal once. When you are finished, open and close the driver door to lock in the programming.
R3) If no response, go back to step 1 near the beginning of these instructions.

To exit Programming Mode: Open driver door. A maximum of 4 remote transmitters can be programmed.
---
Al informed earlier I have not tested neither versions, since I not cut my new key yet.

If this really work as you stated - It therefore means anyone gaining access to your car can easily steal it. There goes the emmobiliser safety feature.
