I have not heard that before but since the circuit breaker is only protecting the power wire I can't figure why that would be the case (any equipment connected to that wire should be individually fused). I have however seen a glass fuse blow and then "fuse" itself back together causing the shorted wire to melt so fast it wasn't funny (luckily the battery terminal was removed before it started a fire! )
What! that's insane, makes me think again about putting back my ANL between the battery. I took it off because I didn't want any breaks in the Power to the battery, I know, a lot of people had advised me against this, but still it made a difference in the way my amp handled my subs.

Just curious what you mean by "it made a difference in the way my amp handled my subs" In any case, PLEASE put the fuse back or add a circuit breaker! I'd hate for the next thread you post to be entitled "my car caught fire"!

well I run 0-gauge wire to my amp; itz a Pioneer Premier PRS-D5000SPL, that accepts 0-gauge at the power terminals, however, i found that with the anl fuse i was losing a bit of power at the amp, when i took out the fuse, it seems that i was able to maintain a steady 13.8 volts, with the fuse i was getting 11.4; I also found that with the fuse out, said amp was pounding the subs better, I'm not sure if this is regular.
