Ground when armed?

Hi Im installing an alarm in my 07 Tacoma. This is my first alarm install, and I am stumped now. Every thing is going fine except One wire says to be connected to a ground when armed and not grounded when not armed?
I have the print out from DEI directech? but it does not mention a ground when armed. Any help?
TIA.

Sounds like the armed responce output wire.

I forget where that wire goes, but try looking in the manual(s) for the alarm.

This wire is only used for triggering certain things that need to be done when arming the unit (Window control modules, ignition disabler, etc...) It is not needed unless you are hooking up an external device.
