Sirius Radio Not as Loud as CD

My headunit goes up to 35 on the volume nob. "Ex". 20 on a CD is loud enough to listen to with windows down but it needs to be at 27 when i listen to sirius radio. My sirius setup is a kenwood headunit with built it sirius and plugged into a tuner NO FM Transmitter. If you understand please advise me. thanks

My kenwood has the same thing, CDs are allways louder than my radio or sat. The only way i think i could make it even would be to re-encode the cds on the computer to be quieter.

You can set the radio to play how you want it to that is how mine is programed and your not going to get the sound quality out of a radio that you would a cd. I can adjust the equalizer to how i want it to play through the personal eq settings. I do not think that burning the cds deffrently would be a good idea thats just the way headunits differ from the tuner even on stock radios. You could put an amp to the speakers you have inorder to hear the speakers more when you have your sirus on.

I'm not familiar with that particular model however you may want to check your manual to see if you have something like "source level adjustment" (it may be named something a bit different). This feature will allow you to match output from all different sources ie Sirius, cd, aux and usually uses the FM radio as the reference.
