Looking for an Audio shop

I just acquired a new Kenwood MP3 deck and would like to get it installed at a professional audio installer. Since im an audio noob and the warranty only covers me if the deck was installed professionally, i need a place to hook it up for me. What shops do you recommend around the west side of Toronto?

Also it's going in my 97 S14 and do you guys know what average labour is gonna run me? Give me a list of the shops you would trust. Oh yeah a pic of the deck....

What's up Marc, long time no hear!

I would definetly recommend "Safe & Sound Intallations" In Scarborough, the guys know what they're doing and I worked there for a bit over a year, so I know the great quality work they do. I would still be working there but I had to leave to Jordan to attend a relative's wedding..

Anyways, the owner is a very good friend of mine and his name is Moe, ask for him and tell him that Ahmed sent you. He is very experienced in audio installations as well as security and starter installations..

Here's the contact:

Moe
Safe & Sound Installations
180 Nantucket Blvd. Unit #6
Scarborough, Ontario
(416) 757-7233

And tell him that you're a friend of mine...

Well i went to a place recommended by my 240 club because one of the mebers works there. Worst decision i made. After a couple days of shitty service, i managed to spend $90 for installation, antenna adaptor, wiring harness and kit. The install was $30 thanks to a 240 discount. Whoop dee doo. And they lost my kenwood faceplate carrying case. Fucking pricks. The cover that is detachable isnt a face of the deck, but comes from below the control panel. It is real slim and delicate. The owner then tries to say that i left it at home or in my car. I gave the guy the whole fucking box, so how could i lose it?

So the guy gives me a Kenwood one he has lying around. The thing is fucking huge. Its a slap in the face everytime i look at it. Do car audio places sell cases? I need a slim, sturdy one that wont stop locking up like the other shit ones out there.

Oh and the shop was called Altered Sound, located in Oakville. Maybe i should post this in the Shop awareness forum.

Wow! That's fuckin horrible. Installation is simple, I did mine myself. I don't know what car you have but you might not have needed an antenna adapter and they may have been ripping you off.

Yeah, according to a couple people the 240sx needs an adaptor. But waiting around and having to drive 30-45mins just to get shitty service and having to wait at the shop for another 1 1/2 - 2hrs was shit. I would have preferred not having a 240club member discount and gone to a shop closer by. I would do it myself, but having a professional job done doesnt void the warranty. So lucky me.

Oh I thought you had a Toyota and my Camry didn't need an antenna adapter...

I am a dumbass who can't read.

Well anyway, I hope it works fine and everything, Kenwoods have a pretty good price:quality ratio, I used to have one but I decided I wanted the Clarion deck I have for reasons of aesthetics and it had 4V preouts instead of 1.8V. There was no real problem with my Kenwood deck, however. Well, except once under extreme cold the screen turned off for a second... and I happened to be pushing the volume up button... and when the screen came on again it was at 2x the volume I normally listen at and blew my subs. But, I just took the subs back to Circuit City (don't buy subs from Circuit City or Best Buy because you can get better subs elsewhere with warranties too) and got them replaced, so I wasn't really angry.
