I made a boo boo. Please help

I have a Hifonics Zeus zx6400 on my gen3 camry. It's a 4 channel amp which is running 2 JL subs bridged. This past weekend i accidentally pulled a pair of the sub wires when i pulled something out of the trunk. Im' guessing that the (+) and (-) wires touched each other and created a short. Now half the channels of the amp sounds terrible. The other half still works great.

Has this ever happen to anyone? or am i just that stupid one? haha. Do people even get their amp fixed or do they just trash it and get another one? I have no idea where i would take an amp. Please give me some options on what to do. Thanks

I would contact the company that makes the amp. They often fix the amp for about 5 years after it is produced tehn refer you to another company that fixes the amp. It is less expensive to get the amp fixed by the company the only thing that cost money is the shipping. I have had a kicker amp sent off to get fixed and it was about 50 bucks to get it fixed for shipping and all. That reminds me i have a 1501d MTX that i need to get fixed as well.

thanks for the response toyota_b. I will definitely keep that in mind in the future. But i'm happy to find out yesterday that it was only a false alarm. I feel like a total idiot. I've tried everything i could do to find out what happened to my amp. I even opened the amp to see if there was a component that burned down which i could just replace. But in reality, the only thing wrong was that when i accidentally unplugged the wires, i replaced the wires backwards. The + and - where switched. How stupid huh? i know, but o well. I'm just glad to have my system back. I missed it.

thanks again

Thats cool man. Its better to make a mistake which everyone does than have to pay a good bit of money to send and get it fixed.
