grounding wires and how to wire amp, subs, etc?

95 V6 LE ... Stock HU ...

ok so since im running my subs off my back speakers ....

ill have to :

1) Sound

splice into rear speakers with speaker wire -> run those into my hi/low stinger adapter (but where do i ground that little brown wire to? do i need to run a longer wire to connect it and ground it?) -> connect the rca's into the amp (where do i ground the rca's?)

2) Remote

remote wire from amp -> to switch -> wire from switch spliced into remote antennae wire (if i use the tape function after turning the radio on, will it shut off my amp?)
Can i run the remote wire on the same side as the power wire?

3) Power

Running my 8 gauge wire... from reading and looking, ive located 2 spots where i can go through the firewall w/o drilling new holes ... the passenger side and the wheel well of the driver side.
What carpet and panelling do i have to remove to get it through the passenger side?
If i go through the wheel well, where does it go inside? where will it feed into the engine bay?

4) Switch

How the hell do i take off the dummy plate so i can cut it and put my switch in it?
Does the switch need to be grounded?

5) Sub

How do i wire my sub to be bridged?

I think thats it... thanks guys!

1. what car are you putting it in?
2. you don't ground the rca's they go from your amp to your headunit
3. yeah you can run your remote on the same side to the power wire just don't connect them
4. this refers back to question one but if you're in a gen3 Camry I assume your talking about the plates above emergency brake

you might wanna put some pics up

Yeah i didnt think you had to ground the RCA's , but they come with this little wire that has a ring plate on the end... looks like a bloody grounding wire....this is from blackhawk's post
but those red circled things ... next to the steering columns is whatim talkn about to put a switch in.. unless there is an easier place?

If the RCA has the brown ground then just use it to help keep the noise out. Avoid extending it. The longer the ground the more pointless it will be. Electricity likes to take the shortest path.

You should tap the remote wire from you're headunit.

Don't be lazy. Drill a hole thru the firewall and bring the cable in and tuck it under the panels. You won't even have to pull them.

Pry the dummy plate off with a flat head, but a piece of cloth over to tip so you don't damage the dash

You don't bridge subs you bridge amps. Refer to your amplifier manual.

Also some information on the equipment your using would be much more helpful...

RCA brand/type... amp model and make, sub make and model... just to name a few.

Im assuming you didnt want to change the headunit?

Theres no space behind those things to put a switch. use the black plate thats a little above.. its much better.
