04 Corolla RCA Preouts

I just purchased a 04 Corolla LE, and I am going to be installing a Clarus CL600 amp and a Rockford Fosgate 12" sub. I have a factory stereo (single disc cd player with four speakers), does anyone know if this type of HU has RCA preouts?

Thanks in Advance

I would use an aftermarket hu. But if the amp has speaker level inputs you could always use those.

you can get those "line invertors" that bridge off your rear speakers (in parallel) and convert the speaker signal to an rca if you're really stuck on keeping your deck. then you run a wire from your fuse box (use ignition or radio fuse) for your remote wire for turning on/off your amp

Thanks, I took the advice of purchasing a new HU (Kenwood KDC-MP3035 CD Receiver). Next I plan to replace the factory speakers. I'll let you know how it sounds.

Thanks all,

I installed the new Kenwood HU, amp and subwoofer this past Saturday. The hardest part was just trying to figure out where exactly to run the power through the firewall, but it was a cinch. Systems sounds great; now I have to get rid of the rattle on the license plate on the trunk.

Cheers
