Between these two subs.

I have come down to between these two SHALLOW MOUNT subs. I am only considering Shallow Mount design, because I want to conserve as much trunk space as possible in my EK hatchback. And I want to keep the spare tire if possible.

So these are the subs:

Elemental Designs SQ10 Subwoofer
Pioneer TS-SW1041D Shallow Mount SW

Which one should I go with? The Elemental Designs is slightly cheaper then the Pioneer, and the eD have the option between 2 vs 4 voice coils. Which I still have to figure out what the difference is.

Also, I am planning to get a set of components in the future, so I would like to get an amp that can power my sub and the components.
Would the eD NINe.4 work with what I need?

Thanks guys

Do the Pioneers

I have never had a bad Pioneer product since 1994. I have heard good things about the shallow Pioneers from commercial audio installers.

You would choose the voice coil resistance depending on how much power you want and the amp. Lower ohms means your amp will put out more power, but it must be stable at that lower impedance.

If you only run one sub, you can use the nine.4 bridged to provide 150W RMS to a 4 ohm sub.
