Security/Alarm questions...

hey guys, i just recently installed a Viper 650XV with an ignition cutoff tied into the rear driver side power button.. the only way you can start the car is you must pull the rear driver side window button up while you turn the key...
now i have a few questions to help strengthen the security on this car... its a 92' Toyota Camry LE(as it says in my sig).. the guy that installed my alarm system said theres an optional secondary battery that you can hook up to the alarm system incase the thief disconnects the battery... now if someone is trying to steal the car, they break the window, and pop the hood.. wouldnt they go for the siren and yank out the wires, essentially making the 2nd battery useless? or do they go for the battery first.. because the siren itself is mounted on the driver side firewall in the engine bay, clearly visible...

also, has anyone tried disconnecting their hood release cable as a security measure? and if so, how hard is it climbing under the front bumper to get it to release manually?

Now, about the sirens, your best bet is to install a backup siren with a built in battery anywhere in the engine bay where it won't be seen, that's one! You can also install Piezo Sirens (ear bleeders) inside your car so no one can enter the car because they're really hi-frequency sirens.

The backup battery is not a bad idea but it requires more wiring and adds more weight other than the money fact..

I hope this was usefull

well the guy that installed my alarm said i can go back there and get the second battery installed in the dash for $50-75.. which includes install

i heard about some type of tilt sensor installed in the car that can also trigger the alarm if the car's horizontal axis to the ground changes when the alarm is active.. meaning if someone lifts the car to tow it it'll trigger the alarm..
i looked on directed.com for it as an addon sensor to my alarm system but didnt see any

any ideas?
