Alright, here's the scoop. Today as I was cleaning out my car (car on and speakers boomin) I must have hit the speaker wires so they came out of my subwoofer and touched together. My amp went directly into protection mode and now I cannot get it out of it. I checked all the fuses. I don't know how to get it off protection mode.
sounds like you shorted shorted something out. recheck the fuses really carefully. if they really ARE all good, then it's time to take it to a shop....
also, I'm moving this to the audio/vido section

So I put the new fuses in, wired it all back up, and turned on my car. I get a loud thump, and the LED goes from power to protection mode in about a second. Any comments?
no the fuses did not blow again... I rewired everything and made sure there were no cuts or splices in the wires. ground could be better (under passenger seat where it bolts into the floor, sandpapered). Why would the amp blow and then go into protection mode???
