Trunk Carpet.

Hey Guys,

I have a sub box in my trunk that won't quit sliding around and ruffling up my stupid carpet. What can I do to keep the carpet from sliding around in my trunk?

I have a 2000 Camry and have tried velcro and staples, but no good. Any ideas?

Thanks.

well, you need something to apply some grip or friction. The superduty velco (just the locking side) will work wonders for you, but make sure youapply it to the bare wood and not a piece of carpet or it won't stick (unless you can find some doublesidded). You can also get some L brakcets and screw it into the box, and the piece of fiberboard over you spair. I have also seen people install hooks in the back, and run picture wire beterrn them and some loops in the factory frame.

I used to have that problem in my Paseo.

I put a layer of non-slip rug material, like pictured below. No problems now.

Hmm, where can I find that non-slip rug material? The L hooks sound like a great idea, but I still need the ability to remove the box when needed. I can't believe that the rug would come unsecured like that. My stupid box slides around with the carpet, even when I don't drive fast and sometimes I need to break fast with these crazy lane changers on the highway. Sigh.

I tried that material. Doesn't work.

Get some L brackets.

I am STILL having this problem. Velcro works to stop the box from sliding on the carpet, but I can't find a way to get the carpet itself to stay in place. Anybody know anything that works for sure? Mounting the box to the floorboard is not an option.

Thanks!
