150rms amp and 60rms speakers

if i have a amp that produces 150rms per chan @ 4ohms, would it be a bad idea to use speakers that have 60rms @ 4ohms?

the amp is also used by my sub would running those speakers have an effect on my subs?

thanks

How many channels does your amp have? How many channels are you using for the speakers and for the sub?

If you have a 3-5 channel amp and are using 2 for speakers and the extra for a sub, then nothing will be affected except for the amp getting hotter. If there is not enough ventilation then it might overheat, that's about the only affect.

The amp will be fine for those speakers as long as you set the gains properly and have a crossover keeping the right signal going to them. And don't turn them up until they bleed.

ok thanks
i just wasnt sure if the gains could be turned down low enough so i could keep full power going to 2 channels and have the other two lower

fyi heres my setup i'm planning

AMP
150 x 4 @ 4 Ohm
300 x 4 @ 2 Ohm
600 x 2 @ 4 Ohm

channel 1&2 are for the front speakers(80rms ea.) and 3&4 are bridged for my sub(600rms)

so my question was(i was in a hurry yesterday when writing so it wasnt too clear)
Can my amp produce 80watts on 2 channels w/o effecting the other two channels(keeping it at 600rms)

Do you have more information on your amp, sub(s) and speakers? Brand? Model numbers?
