help with remote starter

hi i just got my buddies 791xv viper alarm, i got the alarm to work but cant seem to get the remote starter to. can any one help, i have a 2001 corolla manual transmission

something you said made me wonder. Your car is a manual transmition. That means that you need to wire in the neutral saftey switch for the remote start. also, by "can't get it to work" you need to be more specific, is the engine not starting at all? are none of the relays being triggered properly? what's the problem?

i thought you can make remote starters for manual tranny?
or at least it was illegal i think

It is illegal to have one installed in a car that does not have a neutral safteyy switch. This switch basicly checks to make sure that the gear is in neutral so you can't start the car. all modern cars have it built in these days.
