thats a negative.. the unit has to support dvd music cd's.. most likely if its just a regular deck, you cannot. does your player even support the viewing of dvd's??? not too many units out there have dvd music capabilities

i have the pioneer unit in the 2008 Scion xB which i am sure is just a regular deck - but it does have an iPod connector, so i can just load that up with music...

In that case, the DVD will not work. It will only read CD-R and CD-RW discs (in addition to regular pressed audio CDs).

I have the JVC KD-AVX2 in my car and it will read DVDs burned with MP3s. It's called Giga-MP3 in JVC terminology. My 12 disc changer will also read DVDs burned as CDs w/MP3s on it (not really your point but just fyi). I don't know of many other head units that will do this, but the point is, mine will. It also supports DVD-Audio discs and will decode (in-chassis) 5.1 DD and DTS, but won't support SACDs. It's an awesome unit, overall.

No. And if you try, it will let the magic smoke out.
Good Day.

I put a DVD into a slot load drive in my 386 to try to read it. But now it's stuck. I've tried flipping the lever up and down but it doesn't seem to be doing anything...It just makes scratching noises...
