'06 Sequoia w/NAV: Rear Speaker AV input question

I have an '06 Sequoia with the rear entertainment system. It has the A/V inputs below the console. I want to hook up my iPod to this input and play video/music, etc. I have managed to connect the iPod and get the video to play. The speakers still play whatever is playing on the front system even though the iPod's red and white plugs are connected to the A/V inputs as well. Audio does play through the headphones, but I also want to play the audio through the speakers. Does anyone know how to do this, if it is even possible?

Thanks.

you might have to find out if your HU itself has any A/V inputs. those A/V inputs at the rear entertainment most likely are strictly for that unit and not for the rest of the car.

Check out the Tundra Solutions forum under Sequoia. Basically you can get an IPOD2CAR and hook it up to the rear entertainment system by dismantling the center console. The same hook-ups on the back of the HU are there as well. Hooking it up there will allow rear seat passengers to listen to the iPod thru the headphones and the driver can operate it thru the HU. It will show up as "CD CHANGER" on the HU.
