New system setup help

I need some knowledge that I don't have yet......here's what I bought

Phoenix Gold Xenon 100.4 4ohm 100w rms x 4

MB Quart QSD 216 6.5" Comp set for front doors

MB Quart QSD 164 6.5" Add a woofer set for rear deck...might not use them at all...I heard rear fill is a waste with a nice front soundstage

Eclipse CD5000 HU/iPod interface/Sirius tuner

Jl Audio premium RCA's and 4ga amp kit

Planning on putting this gear in my 94 Corolla...I know the car is old but it starts everytime...will have it till it dies

How would you set this system up?
Where should I mount the huge xovers for the component set?
Any Corolla guys have any success with mounting 6.5" in the front doors of the 7th gen??
Where to mount the tweets? I would like to put them close to the mids as possible for best SQ

And finally...a nice sub setup....something 10 inch or smaller...looking into Image Dynamics or Arc Audio in a sealed enclosure....and an amp to power it...will most likely stick to PG amps...I like them. What are everyones suggestions for this?

How are Eclipse HU's?? All I have had are Kenwood Excelons and Pioneer

i listen to everything mostly country, house/techno, and good ol rock and roll/classic and current...occasional heavy pissed off stuff too

Thanks in advance

Looks like you've started out with some good equipment. I wouldn't have spent money on the eclipse unit... Not that they aren't great but thats just me. Pioneer definitely does make a great head unit and for the price you can't go wrong.

For the amp I would have gone with an Elemental Designs amp.

You shouldn't have a problem setting up the x-overs in the door. I did an install on a few corollas and it was easy as pie. Everything fit nicely. As far as the 6.5's I can't remember what we did. I remember having to cut an MDF template... it should be easy though.

The tweeters should be near ear level not next to the mid speaker. I would cut a hole in the base of the A-Pillars and mount the tweets there.

For the sub Image dynamics is great you can also check out elemental designs 10 inch subs.
