i have seen many ppl refer things on woofersetc.com and from everything ive seen they are a legit dealer. Im prob gonna end up getting some cdt components from them sometime
have you look in to kenwood? i never dealt with any online store when it comes to car audio. if your willing to spend $1000, im pretty sure you can talk a local ishop into giving you a deal. plus warranty will be a lot easier.. just IMO

The Kenwood video units are pretty nice and can be found for relatively little money. I would definitely echo BlackCam's recommendation of them over the Panasonic units. The Pioneer you mentioned is nice as well, but screen is slightly smaller. I have an Alpine W200. It has been replaced this year, but you can find new ones for around $600. I would go with Alpine or Kenwood. Both are much more user friendly than the Pioneer units with plenty of room for expansion.
It is nice to be able to go to a shop and touch, feel, and hear what you are wanting to buy, but those guys have overhead to take care of (unless you have a connection) There are many reliable internet sources. Also, don't waste a saleguys time if you plan on buying online in the first place. That is how he makes his livelihood and pays his bills. Not that you would do that, just thought I should mention.
And, I know I have said this before, but EBAY! There are plenty of reputable people on there. Just look at feedback and number of transactions. If it is a store then even better. And with most you still get the factory warranty, just not the convenience of it just taking up the road if you have a problem. Hell, even Crutchfield has some killer deals every now and then.
Have to get to work, otherwise I would find you some specific links. If nothing new when I get back, I will try and do that for you.
I kept thinking about the Pioneer unit so i went to check it out for myself. Was very intrigued by it and almost pulled the trigger but then it hit me. There is no screen tilt function!!!!! This is a big deal for me as my HU is very low in the dash. In a newer Corolla, might not be an issue.
Maybe I was just stupid for not seeing it sooner, but if this is important then the Kenwood/Alpine units are the way to go. And I just found another reason to love my W200....adding the h701 and going active!!!
