Aftermarket unit in 07 Camry, Question?

I am wanting to put this unit in my Camry. My car is the nonnavigation, NonJBL car.

http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...834001,00.html

After looking at Crutchfield, they are telling me I can not put a unit with a fold down face, like the Pioneer Premiere in an 07 Camry?? Granted they do not sale Premiere products.
Anyone know why that is??
I was going to order the DEH-590IB but I am being told it will not work??
Any help would be appreciated.

Rob

I'd just call Crutchfield and see what they have to say. Their site gives conflicting info as you know. When using their Outfit My Car feature, it says it fits. But then when you click on Installation Details, it says that fold down faces won't work.

it should work and fit with the right dash kit, wiring harness, and etc.. if you can call the manufacture to get more accurate details on fitments issues. dont see why it wouldnt work..

I tried talking to them at Crutchfield and all they would say is it will not fit. No Idea why!!
I am sure the dash kit has something to do with it.
Who makes the best quality kit for our cars?

My stereo has a motorized face and works just fine, but the bottom slides outwards so that the front faces upwards when I eject a CD.

Since the stereo is recessed in the dash kit, if the face just releases articulates at the bottom and rotates downwards, it may not open all the way. The face would hit the dash kit because the front of the face has to go lower than the bottom of the stereo. I don't know if that's the case or not, but that is my speculation considering how the stereo fits into the dash kit.

And it's a huge pain in the ass to install. Look at all the crap I have to disassemble!
