Question Uping sound system

As the title implies I want to upgrade the sound system in my 88 corolla. As to the audio world I don't have a clue in the world to as what I need to do. But I do know if I want to run subwoofers I need an amplifer to get the power to them that the stock stero can't put out.

So now to it.
SO for subs http://www.madisound.com/catalog/pro...oducts_id=8288

other than that not a clue on what to do. Any help here.

what are you really going for here? just some bass with good/decent mids and high? head banging booty shaking bass? ground shaking, people piss bass?

if you give us an idea to what your gonna be using for (i.e. daily listen etc..), what your budget is and what is your goal with the system upgrade (i.e. better sounds, some bass, massive bass, etc...)

Good bass where you can feel it but not annoy others with it. For mids/high want those areas to be decent. Probally with budget in the neibor hood of about 300-500 or so.

Are you intending to keep the stock head unit?

sorry for the late response but this is one of the cheaper system i can think of.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1177112903683
2 dual 12s in an bandpass box.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1168042688120
insignai amp.

so far thats about $250 - $270 give or take a few dollars.

not really sure on what your speakers size are for the front. but imma guess they are 4 inch. and have 6X9 in the rear. (not much experiences with rollas).

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1134702499270
you can get those for the front doors.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1168042838157
and those to finish off. so that might be at the $500 margin give or take a 20 dollars.

some will disagree with me but im just trying to stay within your budget range. anyways, keep in mind, you get what you pay for. (that does not applied to used equipment). and what ever you decide to get, hope you enjoy your new system.

The car does not have the stock head unit it has a pioneer in it but it has issues. One of the models that you can pull the entire unit out and put it back in. The systems has been upgraded once but was hamered when i got it and does not work the best anymore.

And in reply to Black95Cam,
That actually looks decent will look through it all.

When a thread gets a reply, it usually goes to the top of the forum. Those threads at the top normally get more attention. When someone has nothing to say, but wants to send the thread back to the top, they just reply bump or TTT (to the top).
