Beltronics Accelerometers

http://www.beltronics.com/fx.html

We just got these in at Circuit City today (well they put the display up). They seem pretty cool for car/race enthusiants who want to know a little more about their speeds and what not. I justify the FX2 costing $100 more than the FX1, though. I don't know, maybe data download is really important/nice to have. We didn't get to play around with them because they are in demo mode and even then they wouldn't be in a car so they would be unable to collect data. Just thought I'd share these with all of you.

those things are pretty awesome, if you weigh your car and then use it, it can tell you exactly how much whp you're putting out, its even more accurate than all those dynos

You get a new car first and I'll think about it. :p
Or, at least a turbo or SC.

We got something like that too, but it's made by Escort, called the Passport G2 timer. It's so cool that it gets mounted on the windshield facing forward ONLY and connects up through a cigarette adapter. Then, it figures out how much the car performs. I agree with oldman, it's so much more accurate than a dynometer.
