2 questions

1) Wiring of Subs

I have two Pioneer 12's, one running off a bridged 4 channel (the other two channels run 6x9's) and one off a separate 2 channel (bridged) amp

I have heard here about hooking up subs in parallel and series.

Obviously i know these terms, where series would be from +ve to 1st sub, 1st sub to 2nd, 2nd to -ve right?

So how would you hook subs up in parallel? Are we just talking about off two chennels like i have, or is there a way to run 2 subs of ONE channel through parallel (wouldnt that underpower them chronically)

2) LED's

I making switches on my dash to turn all my 3 amps on or off, hence disconnecting remote wires to isolate SUBS, 6x9's or splits.

Now the cool part is that these remote wires which run to the switch will also run to an MDF/paper picture of a car, top down. Now in this wood there will be 6 LED's, 1 for each "speaker" (splits classed as 1).

Therefore, when you turn splits on in switch, the two LEDs on the diagram will light up

Now i have it all drawn and its all good, but i am concerned with
a) will the LEDS draw too much current and my amps wont turn on (as in no remote)
b) is there eeven enough power in a remote lead to run 2 LED's

why are you running two subs off of two different amps?

LED's barely draw any power whatsoever, and same thing with the remote turn on for your amps. 18 AWG wiring should be fine, but if you really want, use 14 AWG. My spoiler has like 30 LED's in there (at least), and it's run off of 18AWG wiring.

Your right, but the way your explaining it is kinda confusing. I understand what your saying though.

+ of sub 1 to + of sub 2. Same for the negative.

Both subs will get the same amount of power.

Imagine the subs as resistors. Say you got 12 volts going to 2 resistors (both of them are the same) wired in series, each resistor would get 6 volts.

The same resistors wired in parallel would see 12 volts each.

The amp turn on lead on decks is a low current output. So if your going to turn on a bunch of stuff (multiple amps, x-overs, eq's, etc....). Its best to use a relay.

2 subs off two amps because the 4 channel runs a sub and 6x9's hard and perfect, yet struggles when trying to run two subs when cranked up

so basically ive got the 2nd sub running off another two channel amp, which powers it adequately, but it is still "second" two my primary sub

i will get a huge amp to run both eventually, but this unconventional setup is actually giving me some huge fucking bass, so theres no rush

^ why don't you just get a mono amp dedicated to just running your subs? it'd probably be more efficient and actually give you better base that way....
