thought I'd treat myself to a b-day gift. i've been eyeing this item on e-bay for a long time now. came across a a brand new one for a good deal at a local audio shop. took it as a sign to buy it.
Clarion DPH910 EQ/DSP/Crossover.
I'll post my reviews once I get it installed. just realized that i've had my amps wired to my subs wrong. had the amps running too hot. good time to change it all up.
too much for me to fiddle with. here's a description...
Clarion DPH910 Digital Graphic EQ/DSP
You get a full subwoofer crossover a 3-band front and rear independent parametric equalizer, a 7-band digital graphic equalizer, and a test tone generator.Your system can be tuned from the drivers seat, instead of climbing into the trunk to make a change to the EQ or crossover.
this one will keep me busy for awhile. now i just need to find a place to mount it.... hmmm.
hooked up the crossover today. the sound quality has greatly improved. there are several different sound stages to choose from and subwoofer control settings. best part is that i can contol it all from the deck. the CeNet cord that it came with was not long enough to reach the trunk so I just have it setup on my back seat until i can get a longer cord.
I wonder if it's really going to be worth it for me since I'm just going to have 6.5" components in the front? I know I can change the timing a little, but does it matter for 2 speakers? And the crossover, my amps will have built in ones. If my system was for SQ I'd certainly get one of these bad boys.

you'll still notice the difference. my amps have built in crossovers as well but they don't do the job as well. i was surprised how much of a difference it made.
I guess you can't go wrong for $50. I'm pretty sure it doesn't raise the voltage of the signal. It will let you set the timing, volume per channel/speaker and crossovers I think.

ray, think of running both subs on one channel, bridge your amp
into 2 or 1. run your subs in series, and your subs should thump
pretty good plus your new cross-over. question... brembo brakes,
on the buy and sell, is that legit? by the way... wicked web page!!
i had my subs wired with each voice coil in parallel until just recently running my amp at 2ohms... way to hot for my amps. they kept crapping out due to the heat. that plus being under my plexi with no fans made them unhappy gadgets. but i just wired each voicecoil in series and the subs themselves in parallel. they're runnnin more efficiently, safer and better sounding than before.
i thought you saw my site before?! i got some lights in the trunk that i don't think you've seen yet. i'll have to take some more pics.
