I have been having trouble with my amp it has been going into protect mode but it comes out of it every now and then i checked the power wire but i havent had a chance to check the ground any ideas?

Pull your speaker connections one by one and see if that helps it. If you pull all of them and it's still in protect mode, then it probably shat the bed.

nope my gain are on half way have not got a chance to pull the wires yet

maybe half way is too high? why not turn them down and see what happens

check it with a DMM if necessary

new update i have a extra batt in the back and i find the the amp comes on in the morning then shuts off later like i do not have a continuous charge going to the batt so it has to be the ground ill check it tomorrow after work
