Hmm.. I'm double checking with crutchfield as they claim the JBL's won't fit but the Infinity's will. However, the Infinity's are 1/2" Deeper. The JBL's are 129 vs. the Infinity's at 179.. I kinda smell an upsell here. I'll have to see what they come back at me with. And you are correct, the system does say that those speakers fit with my vehicle.

Crutchfield is usually pretty reliable, but they don't always have ALL their fitment data right. Their system says 6X9s won't fit in the rear deck of my Camry, but they fit fine with an adapter plate. They don't happen to sell a 6X9 adapter plate for the Camry, so I guess from their perspective they won't fit

I looked on the U.S. Crutchfield site and it also indicates your 5-1/4s are in the dash. Sorry I don't have a Caravan, so I can't be of much help there. I wonder if there is a difference between the U.S. built vs. Canadian built Caravan?

This site implies the speakers are in the doors....

I'm going to have to rip it all apart and see what's going on. :P

I was planning on doing that during Lunch today but with the cold snap and blowing snow, I think I might wait.

Well, just spoke to another rep from Crutchfield and told me that the JBL GTO937's would fit just fine! She doesn't know why they told me they wouldn't, and when I commented on an upsell, she ignored it. LoL.

She mentioned that I may have the 6 Speaker config

Any opinions on the JBL GTO937 6x9's and Kenwood KFC-1361S 5 1/4" for the dash?

I would be putting the 6x9's in the doors and in the rears. All the speakers will be running off an amp. What size of amp would I be looking for? And 4 channel obviously.

Thanks!

go with the 6.5" CDT CL-61A component set... iirc, they still go for ~150 for the set.. if you think you may have issues with fitment, just get baffles made. the user on here by the name of MrMarv makes baffles for many vehicles.. shoot him a PM and see if he can make some for you.. they wont cost more than $50.

Use this in place of the 5 1/4's in the dash? Or in place of the 6x9's in the door?

Well, I've put off the speaker upgrade until it warms as I need to rip my doors off and take apart my dash to find out sizes as I have found many conflicting reports as to what is in my car.

So in the meantime, I bought 2x 12" Audiobahn 1000w DVC subs along with a Kicker 400W Class D mono amp.

I will be running another amp for my speakers as well so please keep that in mind. I will be upgrading my wiring to 4ga as it is 8 or 10ga right now (It was a $15 princess auto special).

I have read several reports and have been told several different opinions in regards to a capacitor. Is it worthwhile? I mean you can pick up a $45 1 farad cap used but is it needed? recommended?

I am also looking at mounting my amps to my sub box. Should that be an issue? And I've seen some people who have the subs pointing upwards? Would that produce a better sound? Or what is the reasoning to that?

Anyone have suggestions for picking up a 4ga multiamp wiring kit? In Toronto as shipping would obviously kill any deal :P

Thanks
