Matching Speaker Brands?

I'm planning to swap out the speakers in my 2000 Solara for some aftermarket ones, and I'm trying to figure out what kind I should get. I narrowed down what I can and cant fit in my car thru Crutchfield, but was wondering if I can, or should, mix brands of speakers for my front and rear.

I was looking at a pair of Kenwoods for my front, and Pioneer for my rear shelf, but didn't know if there was some rule against that.

Also, are there other speakers/brands I should consider? I have a Panasonic CQ-DFX983U deck (25w x4 RMS, 50W x4 max) with no external amp, and I'm looking to spend about $200 on the set (6.75" in the front, 6x9's in the rear)

Any advice is appreciated.

This topic has been discussed so many times before. You could do a search and find lots of our opinions. You can mix and match any combination of speakers that you want. You wont see any benefit from being loyal with one brand and it wont hurt if you mix and match. Go to any audio shop and listen to the speakers and find what sounds good to you. Everyone has different tastes and so you're going to get a wide range of speaker names that people think are "good". I prefer Infinity and I just finished installing them in my fronts and rears and I think they sound great. In the end it all comes down to how it sounds in YOUR ear. If you have any questions feel free to post on the forum. I hope this helps.
