Exclamation Help?!?! Is it my amp or my speakers??

Ok so heres the deal

MY system is great and all the sound is clear through the speakers. the bass is hitting tight and hard.
but when i turn up the volume louder soo the music fills up the car so u cant hear anyone talk, the music leaves the speaker and stops for about 5 or 6 seconds but you can still hear the bass i was like wtf?? it does this about every 30 seconds another time when i turn up the system it does the same thing but i can still hear the music really really low in the speakers. and then for the last time it even does this when my bass is all the way off i have a kicker kx600.4 for the speakers it does this funky thing with a CD and radio sooo its not a scratched CD im soo confused

oh yeah btw i checked the wiring from the amp to my rear speakers looks good but havent checked the front speakers and i pulled my deck out and everything is tight in there too

anyone please help me please helpppp im so very confused

Your amp sounds like it's overloading...going into protection mode and then resetting itself automatically. Make sure your gain levels are set correctly, as in they don't need to be at the highest level.....

^ ditto that

same thing happened to my amps. i had them wired up wrong to my subs making them run too hot. their protection mode kicked in and turned them off until they cooled off... and over and over again. i have since rewired my amps correctly... no more problems. you should check how you have them wired to your subs and fix the problem right away... it's not very healthy for your amps and can cause permanent damage.

As Silver and Rayray suggested, your amp is overheating. If it's not the gain level or improper wiring...check your ground. I had a poor ground once that caused my amp to overheat.

finding a place for the ground is killing me
